Throughout the four-day exhibition, Tourism Malaysia will engage in high-level networking sessions with Iranian travel experts, professionals, and industry players from the tourism and hospitality sectors.
These interactions will offer valuable insights into the current landscape of Malaysia’s dynamic tourism industry.
Tourism Malaysia will showcase its presence through a dedicated pavilion featuring seven booths hosting esteemed partners comprising tour operators, hotels/resorts, and a prominent airline such as BetterBooking Travel and Tour Sdn. Bhd., Future Group Tour & Travel Sdn. Bhd., Gulliver Tours and Travel Sdn. Bhd., Pearl Island Holiday Travel Agency, Toranj Tour & Travel Sdn. Bhd., Marriott Hotels, IOI Resort City, Putrajaya and Air Arabia.
The exhibition will spotlight exciting packages and the latest attractions and destinations, such as Kuala Lumpur, Genting Highlands and Penang, catering to diverse market segments, including shopping, theme parks and family fun activities.
“Malaysia is currently among the few countries offering visa-free stays not exceeding 14 days for Iranian passport holders. Iran remains one of Malaysia’s top international tourist-generating markets in the Middle East, with arrivals totalling 13,506 from January to September 2023.” remarked Dato’ Dr Ammar Abd. Ghapar, Director-General of Tourism Malaysia.
Building upon the success of last year’s joint destination seminar to Isfahan and Shiraz in August 2023, supported by Air Arabia, Malaysia affirms its standing as one of the top-of-mind travel destinations for Iranians in gearing up for Visit Malaysia Year 2026.
Iranian travellers can conveniently access Malaysia from various cities, including Tehran, Mashhad, Isfahan, Tabriz and Shiraz, utilising renowned carriers such as Qatar Airways, Emirates, Etihad Airways and Air Arabia.
