KUALA LUMPUR — Manoharan Periasamy has officially take over as Director General (DG) of the tourism promotion agency, effective today.
In his previous role, he served as Senior Director for International Promotion (Asia & Africa) at Tourism Malaysia.
He is the first Malaysian-Indian to be appointed as the DG for Tourism Malaysia.
It is understood that he has served three consecutive terms as Director of Tourism Malaysia for India and was instrumental in setting up the first NTO office in Mumbai way back in 2001.
Manoharan carries with him a wealth of experience and a proven track record in tourism promotion to amplify Malaysia’s appeal as a global travel destination.
