Kuala Lumpur – Plaza Low Yat’s 25th Anniversary Tech Fiesta has successfully wrapped up, drawing thousands of tech enthusiasts, shoppers, and families over the weekend of 24th and 25th August 2024.
The event, commemorating the mall’s 25-year journey as Malaysia’s premier tech retail hub, featured exclusive deals, interactive experiences, and an exciting lucky draw that garnered an impressive 4,221 entries.
“This weekend has been a testament to the enduring relationship between Plaza Low Yat and its loyal patrons,” said Douglas Crichton, spokesperson for Plaza Low Yat.
“The overwhelming response to the lucky draw and the participation we saw throughout the weekend shows just how much Plaza Low Yat continues to resonate with tech enthusiasts and shoppers alike, and we’re thrilled to see so many people come together to celebrate not just technology, but the sense of community that Plaza Low Yat fosters.”
The grand prize winner of Plaza Low Yat’s 25th Anniversary Tech Fiesta lucky draw, Zulkiflee Bin Abdul Hakim, 53, was initially sceptical about his win. He expressed his surprise and joy upon confirming his prize – a Neta V electric vehicle.
“I was surprised and glad and thankful to God that I have been given the opportunity to be the owner of an EV car and explore the full potential of such a vehicle,” he shared. Reflecting on his experience at Plaza Low Yat’s Tech Fiesta, he added,
“It’s a good deal, yeah. Always a good deal. I managed to find the merchandise I was looking for easily. The event was practical, easy to win, and the prices were very attractive.”
Participants who spent RM300 or more at Plaza Low Yat’s participating outlets, either in a single purchase or through combined receipts, were eligible to enter the lucky draw. Among the winners, the 1st prize went to Kong Sook Fang, who won a Viewnet Gaming Chair worth RM 30,000, though they could not attend the event.
The 2nd prize, a JBL Sound Bar worth RM 4,499, was awarded to Nur Hidayu binti Mohd Noor. The 3rd prize, a Canon Mini Projector worth RM 1,699, was claimed by Muhammad Hisyamuddin bin Shahrin.
When asked how the Neta V would impact his family, Zulkiflee said, “I will probably let my wife use it for work. For city driving, it’s very practical. We will be able to save a lot on fuel expenses, basically petrol.”
Plaza Low Yat’s Tech Fiesta featured exclusive promotions, with discounts of up to 78% at participating outlets, drawing in tech enthusiasts and casual shoppers alike. The event offered an array of interactive games and activities, making it a truly immersive experience for all attendees.
As Plaza Low Yat looks forward to its next chapter, the success of this year’s Tech Fiesta underscores its ongoing commitment to bringing the latest technology and innovative experiences to Malaysia.
