Kuala Lumpur – Universiti Malaya has confirmed the admission of Izz Imil, a remarkable 12-year-old student, into the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics program at the Faculty of Science. This decision underscores the university’s commitment to recognizing young talent in the academic field.
In a Facebook post, The Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Malaya, Professor Dato’ Seri Ir. Dr. Noor Azuan Abu Osman, announced that Izz Imil successfully underwent a thorough interview process conducted by a Special Committee established by the university, and his admission was approved by the University Senate.
“Given Izz Imil’s young age, we request that all parties provide him with space and privacy as he adjusts to the learning environment at the university. This is important to ensure he can undergo a healthy growth process while also excelling in his studies,” stated Professor Noor Azuan.
Izz Imil’s admission is expected to inspire other students to achieve academic success and demonstrate that with effort and dedication, there are no age limits to achieving excellence in education.
