As of 11 a.m. today, no clues have been discovered at the search site, according to a report published by Harian Metro.
The search operation has covered a 13-kilometer stretch along the river, from the Lubuk Batu Bridge to the nearby Kepala Batas Bridge.
Earlier, police confirmed that the missing victim was believed to have been thrown into the Padang Terap River with his hands bound and mouth taped.
In a previous report by Bernama, Kedah police chief Datuk Fisol Salleh stated that the search began after the arrest of two local suspects, aged 26 and 38, last Friday.
Media reports had earlier noted that Sabari had been missing since September 4, and his Proton Waja was later found burned in Belantik, Sik.
The elderly man’s disappearance was brought to light by his son after his mobile phone was switched off, and there were suspicious withdrawals from his bank account.
