The closing segment of the Datuk MN45ir Cipta 2 concert at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil, last night was vibrant as M Nasir wrapped up his performance with the iconic song “Satu Hari Di Hari Raya.”
The atmosphere became even more electrifying when 10,000 Raya envelopes containing RM1 notes were dropped from the ceiling, accompanying the renowned singer and composer’s performance.
Commenting on the surprise, M Nasir emphasized that while the value of the gift is only one ringgit, the idea behind it is what truly matters.
“Usually, I find things like this amusing, but behind the humor lies a deep meaning in the context of the performance,” he stated.
“This is also a metaphor for the concert organizers, who have a desire to do good and love humanity. Even though its value is just one ringgit, for me, the idea is what’s most important,” he added during the press conference after the concert.
Meanwhile, Iman Tang, the founder of ICON Entertainment, explained that the gift of Raya money held special significance for him.
“We prepared 10,000 Raya envelopes and converted RM10,000 into new RM1 notes. Even though it’s just one ringgit, RM1 held great value 45 years ago,” he clarified.
During the three-hour concert, M Nasir, known as Sifu, performed over 30 songs, including works by other artists he has influenced.
The famous guitarist Kid also added to the excitement with his guitar riffs while M Nasir sang songs like “Fantasia Bulan Madu,” “Isabella,” and “Tiara.”
Among the local celebrities present to show their support were Wings, Spider, Lah Ahmad, Datuk Fauziah Nawi, Farah Ahmad, Azhan Rani, Akim Ahmad, Stacy, and many more. For this concert, musicians and attendees donned blue denim and white outfits, which were the concert’s theme.
