A teacher from Sabah, Loren Fren, has gone viral on social media after a video of her teaching Jawi script caught the attention of many.

Loren, a teacher serving at Sekolah Kebangsaan Bawang K9, Beluran, Sabah, showcased an impressive ability to write Jawi script with great precision.

The video, which has garnered over 1 million views on Facebook, shows Loren teaching the Malay proverb “Bagai aur dengan tebing” (Like the bamboo and the riverbank) in Jawi on a whiteboard.

Many netizens were impressed by Loren’s beautiful handwriting and her skills in teaching a subject he rarely covers.

In a statement, Loren shared, “I rarely teach Jawi, so I made this video as a keepsake. Once we’re done with Jawi this year, we’ll continue next year.”
