Legendary Malaysian rock band Spider is set to return to the stage with a special unplugged concert on October 25 at the Mega Star Arena, Kuala Lumpur.
Titled Spider Unplugged Concert, the show promises a fresh and intimate musical experience for fans, showcasing the band’s iconic rock and ska-infused sound in a raw, acoustic format. Known for their poetic lyrics and energetic stage presence, Spider aims to present a different side of themselves to audiences, more than two decades since first making their mark in 1996.
Organised by Naga Legend Entertainment, the concert is expected to be one of the most anticipated live performances of the year. Fans can look forward to hearing timeless hits such as Aladdin, Relaku Pujuk, Cinta Dewa Dewi, and Kasih Latifah reimagined in an acoustic setting.
Speaking on behalf of the organisers, Fandy Alias said the concert is more than just a musical event—it’s a tribute to Spider’s enduring contribution to the local music scene.
“We’re honoured that Spider agreed to perform in this unplugged format. It’s a chance for the band to connect with fans on a deeper level, through rich and emotional acoustic arrangements,” he said.
Spider, made up of Tam (vocals), Aie (drums), Iss (bass), and Pown (guitar), expressed their excitement about the upcoming show and their desire to offer something genuine and heartfelt.
“We don’t want to just follow trends. Every performance must have its own identity,” said lead vocalist Tam. “This unplugged concert is our opportunity to engage closely with the fans who have supported us from the beginning.”
Over nearly three decades in the industry, Spider has not only produced a string of hit songs but also earned prestigious accolades, including the Juara Lagu 2004 title and Best Pop Rock Album at the 2005 Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM).
Tickets for Spider Unplugged Concert went on sale on April 25 via www.ilassotickets.com/spiderunplugged, with prices ranging from RM198 to RM388 depending on seat category.
Fans are advised to purchase tickets early to avoid disappointment, as Spider’s concerts have consistently drawn strong ticket sales in the past.
