After a long hiatus from performing in Malaysia, celebrated Indonesian singer and composer Melly Goeslaw made a spectacular return last night with her much-anticipated concert, “Ada Apa Dengan Melly…? Prom Nite”, held at Axiata Arena.
Kicking off at 8.30pm, the concert brought together fans of all ages, many of whom turned up dressed to the nines in line with the glamorous “Dress To Kill” theme.
The arena transformed into a dazzling prom night atmosphere, complete with stunning lights and an elaborate stage setup that captivated the audience from the start.
Melly opened the night with a sweeping orchestral rendition of Ku Bahagia, immediately evoking a wave of nostalgia. She continued to mesmerize the crowd with beloved hits like Ingin Mencintai dan Dicintai, Pecinta Wanita, Malam Pertama, Suara Hati Seorang Kekasih, and Sampai Kumenutup Mata—each song taking fans on a heartfelt journey down memory lane.
The emotional high continued with touching performances of Jika, Gantung, Cinta Sejati, and a soul-stirring medley of Bimbang and Denting.
In a special highlight, Melly paid tribute to Malaysia by performing a medley of iconic local songs including Janji Manis (Aishah), Betapa Kucinta Padamu (Siti Nurhaliza), and Isabella (Search), earning thunderous applause from the crowd.
The energy soared as she delivered crowd-favourites Dimana Malumu, Hanya Memuji, Tentang Seseorang, and Berdua Lebih Baik. Rising young star Dinda Ghania also took the stage to perform Jangan Pernah Berubah and Bunda, injecting a fresh and youthful vibe into the night.
A surprise moment that brought the house down came when famed actor Nicholas Saputra appeared on stage to recite a poem from the film Ada Apa Dengan Cinta, evoking deep emotions among fans.
The concert’s finale was a high-energy celebration, with Melly belting out vibrant numbers such as Ada Apa Dengan Cinta, Ratusan Purnama, Tak Tahan Lagi, Let’s Dance Together, and Hey Ladies.
She wrapped up the night in spectacular fashion with a rousing set of songs including Salah, Bagaikan Langit, I Just Wanna Say, and Demikianlah, leaving the audience in awe and ensuring the night ended on a truly memorable note.
